3 Days on my Own

Today was my husbands grandmothers birthday. We had a birthday party here at our house. I cleaned before the party, and then cleaned up after the party. My husband is leaving tomorrow on a business trip for 3 days and was packing while I cleaned up after the party. It still hasn't completely hit me that he is going to be gone. It is going to be so weird, the hardest part is going to be going to bed alone knowing that I will be alone all night. I will do fine though. I will miss him a lot!

Today I was officially diagnosed as having Polycystic Ovary Syndrome.

You don't know how awesome it is just to know what is actually going on. I am now going to start taking Metformin. It is supposed to restore my periods. It might even help me lose weight in the process.

-I finally got caught up on all my shows.

-Put an Ikea dresser together with Jason. It's the perfect height for the projector to sit on, behind the couch.

I am so not that good at being positive. I am always looking at the negative side of things rather then the positive. It is one thing about myself that I don't like. In order to get better about it I thought I write a little blurb on my blog everyday, starting Monday, telling about the positive in the day. I think it might actually help me out.

Sorry I haven't been on top of updating either blogs lately. We moved recently and are still trying to get the last few things where they go.

Anyways, I went to the OBGYN again last week. I told him I am done taking the Provera because my symptoms are 3x worse then what my pms symptoms have ever been. I am way more grumpy and I get way depressed.

I brought up the fact that the more I looked into it, the more I think I have Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). So he recommended that I get an ultrasound and blood work done to see if I actually have it. I am getting both done today. I am both nervous and excited. Hopefully this will answer some questions to whats going on with my body.

Mother's Day

Mother's day was wonderful and there was love all around me. I got happy mother's day wishes and treats even though I am not really a mother. I will tell you the truth though, in the back of my mind all I could think about was how there is a huge possibility that I will never be able to become pregnant. I know, I know...I don't have to have a child of my own to be a mother. I get that and if we can't have kids, then we will look into that. It still hits me hard that I might not be able to produce something as precious as a child. This isn't a pity party, but that is how I felt today.

Food Allergy?

I think I might have a mild food allergy. I have no idea what to. The only time I have noticed it when I have eaten two different types of cookies. I ate them months apart. I looked on the ingredients of the first batch, but this second batch didn't have any. I have no clue what it could be. It doesn't happen for every cookie I eat. So it just has to be some kind of ingredient that isn't used all the time.

Today I started my third week in a row working out. I have to admit it's been hard, but I do it anyways. I am so completely done with not liking my body. I have cut my sugar intake in half for now. I am working on cutting it completely out. Cutting sugar out is going to be harder then actually working out. Heck, I may never do it.

I am loving the weather right now. It is lightly snowing outside and has been for most the day. It is weird to me to think that I actually like it, because usually I hate snow what so ever. So, a couple months ago I heard about Google analytics. It is a free program that tracks your sites. You just have embed the code. Anyways, I had it all set up. It was tracking everything ... until I re-did both this blog and Jason & Briana. I had gone to Google analytics wondering how many people were visiting now compared to before, and every time it would say zero. I was surprised but it didn't occur to me until last night that after I had re-done the blogs I forgot to re-embed the code. I don't know how I forgot to do that again, but I did. I fixed it and hopefully now there will be more then zero people visiting my blogs.

It Only Took a Year

Last year for my birthday Karen gave me a picture frame and a hoodie. Anyone that knows me, knows that I wear my hoodies/jackets all the time...so of course I have worn the hoodie she gave me.

Unfortunately, the frame just got set on my desk. Not forgotten about though. I would stare at it almost every time I sat at my desk. Wondering what I could put in the frames to represent me.

Having nothing really to do tonight...I finally decided to do something about the empty frames. Here's the finished product.

I really don't understand how I have been feeling lately. I am soo grumpy. It's like I am PMSing, just without the period. I feel so bad for Jason, he has been getting the brunt of a lot of it. I am sorry honey!

I keep almost dreading taking Provera next month, just because if my hormones are already arigh, I really don't know how I am going to feel.

Doctor Appt. Update

I thought I might update, since it's been a little while since I last wrote.

The dentist went well, and even after I had gotten my tooth fixed, it did still hurt for a little afterward. All is good now with my tooth. I will get food stuck in every now and then and that seems to be the only thing that irritates it.

I went back to the doctor on the 2nd for basically a check up on all my tests and if I had got my period at all. All my tests had come back normal and I had got my period. All that made me feel really good. It is really weird still that everything is normal, except for me not having my period like I should.

The doctor said that you cannot be considered infertile until you have technically tried for a year. Which made me feel a billion times better then the last time I went. He said that my age is in my favor, but even with all that, that I still might have a hard time having children. When Jason and I do decide to start trying, I will have to go see the doctor again, so that he can put me on some kind hormone. I don't remember the name.

He gave me the choice to either go on birth control or take Provera every 2 months. Jason and I had already talked about birth control and we don't want to go that route. So I chose the Provera. Anyways, because the doctor is still unsure of me even being infertile, he said I need to take a pregnancy test before taking my Provera.

As weird as this sounds, I am soo relieved and hopeful that I might have a chance of having kids.

D is for Dentist

My dentist appointment went well. If you call getting your sore tooth drilled on fun. I know it sounds counter-productive, but I knew that getting it drilled on would help in the long run. They said it might be to high. They asked me if it was too high, and I said I didn't know, I just knew it hurt.

I also couldn't remember the day I came in to get it done. I got it done on October 19th. More then a month ago. Can you believe that I have waited that long? Granted I thought the pain would go away after a couple of days of getting it done, and even then the pain wasn't that bad. The pain really didn't get that bad until the last week or so. That is why I ended up calling them Friday.

Anyways, I got to grind my tooth on something, then they would drill. They did it like 3 times and then sent me on my way. It didn't cost me anything. My tooth feels better, I just hope it stays that way.

I don't understand why my tooth is still hurting. I went into the dentist a couple of weeks ago to get it fixed and it still hasn't stopped hurting. This is seriously the longest time that a tooth has ever hurt for me. I called the dentist today and they were going to get me in today, but I didn't have the car. I did however get an appointment for first thing Monday morning. Hopefully they can fix whatever is wrong.

Then on Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving I have to go back to the dentist for my check-up/cleaning. How fun, huh? I am hoping that I don't have anything else wrong, because I really don't want to have to go back in. Crossing my fingers!

Behind on Housework

I am sitting here waiting for Sasha to show up, and all I can think about is the housework. I absolutely hate when I get behind on housework. It seems like there is always something that needs to be done around the house.

Mondays, I usually sit down in front of the tv watching some of my tv shows, whilst doing the laundry. But this last Monday, we ended up going over to a friends house for dinner and games. I was beyond furious that my schedule had been messed up. I got over it, but it has just messed with my whole week. I have still not finished the laundry, and there are still a million other things I need to get done.

Do you ever get behind on the housework? Does it bug you, if you do? How did you get back on track?

Last night before I went to bed, I started my period. Last night it was very light and looked kind of brownish, reddish. So I put a pad on.

Well, I woke up this morning to cramps. I went to the bathroom and It was full on red. Hallelujah!!

I am so happy that those pills worked. I was getting worried that it might not work.

I thought I would let you know where I am at.

I filled my prescription on Halloween and started taking them immediately when we got home that night. So far, I haven't felt any major change in my hormones. I haven't been any more crabby or emotional. I just feel like me. If that makes sense. Oh wait, I have been having hot flashes, but that is all.

I will take my last pill on the 9th and hopefully start my period on the following days. I am hoping that all goes well and that when my period does come it isn't to heavy.

Dr. Appointment

I finally had my long awaited doctors appointment today. Going into it I wasn't really that worried about it. I was more just relieved that I was at the doctors and that soon enough I would have a better understanding of what is going on.

This was the first time that I had ever been to this doctor. Knowing it was a guy instead of a girl this time kind of freaked me out at first, but I quickly got over it.

He came into talk to me about my concern about not having my period for the last 8+ months. He said that it wasn't good and then started listing all the things that could possibly be causing it. When he was telling me everything, I was okay, I was fine. He suggested that I start taking a hormone pill. I would take it for 10 days and then basically my body would withdrawal from the pill and then I should have a period. If that doesn't work, I would then be put on birth control to help regulate my period. He also said that when I want to start having kids that it could take me a while to get pregnant.

I had my yearly done.

Then he came in with the prescription for the hormone pill and another paper to take over to the hospital to get a blood test done.

As soon as I left the doctors office I immediately went over to the hospital to get the blood test done. That is the first time I have ever gotten my blood drawn. I wasn't as freaked out about it as I thought I would. I even looked right at the needle when the guy put it in. I don't think I could do it every time though.

As soon as I walked out of the hospital, I started calling people. Well, only my mom & Jason. I called my mom and told her what had happened. I did really good staying calm. I called Jason, only to get out a couple of words before starting to cry. He comforted me and made me feel a little better. I wanted to tell Karen about everything so I went over to her house and only got out a couple of words before I started crying again.

I know it might sound stupid, but even the chance that I could have a hard time getting pregnant or not even be able to have kids makes me so sad. I have always wanted to be a mom and experiencing the pregnancy is part of that. Before I get all down in the gloom...Nothing is set in stone. I haven't started pills yet. Test results aren't back.

I am hoping that everything is going to fine.

February was the last time I had a period. Even then, it wasn't like it used to be. So I wouldn't really call it a period. That is 7 months without a period, and 7+ months since a normal, full length period. I know, not good at all.

We finally got our insurance cards, so tomorrow I am calling and scheduling an appointment.

Rolls Are So Good!!

So earlier today around 4:30pm I remembered that I was going to pull out rolls to go with dinner. We ended up having pizza for dinner at a friends house. As we were leaving their house I reminded myself to go home and put them in the oven. Then we could have rolls for breakfast/dinner tomorrow. Well, we came home and I went straight up to our bedroom to start getting ready for bed. I even sat up on my laptop for a little bit. Jason came into go to bed. We both layed down and I drifted off to sleep.

Around 12:30am I get a call from my brother saying that he can't get a hold of my mom to pick him up from work, waking me up. I then try for I don't know how long calling 3 different numbers, but no one answers. He eventually just gets a ride home from a co-worker. I then lay down to try to go back to sleep. Then I finally remember, "Oh crap, the rolls!" I go downstairs and they are huge. They are mostly air pockets. So I decide to redo them and wait for them to rise.

I have now been sitting up waiting for them to rise for over an hour. It's 2:30 in the morning. I will never take rolls out again unless I know for sure that I will be home for the night. The bad thing is I am not really feeling that tired and I don't feel very well. I had a hard time falling asleep earlier. Oh and I will most likely have to take Jason to work in the morning.

I just got back from walking really fast around the block. I am so proud of myself for actually following through. Tired of Feeling...Insecure

Every once in a while I jump on our scale at home. Today I decided that it's been a while since I weighed myself. I jumped on and surprisingly I was at 159.2 lbs. Not very happy that I was almost up to 160 lbs.

I made it a big goal to start exercising on a regular basis and eating healthy. This is seriously the heaviest I have been my whole life. I am tired of feeling insecure about how I look and the only way that is going to change is if I get off my butt and do something about it.

Ever since I started my period it has been irregular. I never know when its going to show up. Anyways, ever since I got married, my periods have become extinct. Well, not all the way, I have had a couple here or there, but overall no periods. All though it is nice, it is very scary that my body isn't doing what it's supposed to be doing. I am not pregnant, so that is not the answer. I am starting to get really worried so I am planning on going to the doctor next month when we finally get insurance from Jason's new job. Now I just need to search for a good OBGYN. Any suggestions?

Things I hate about having cats:

-Cleaning out cat liters.

-Vacuuming up all their hair.

-When they keep me up at night.

Things I love about having cats:

-They relax me.

-You don't have to take them outstide to go to the bathroom.

-They sleep at the foot of our bed.

-They are just so darn cute.

I know there is more I love about them. I just am having a brain fart. The good out ways the bad, and that is why we still have cats. It's true!

My mom needed to borrow one of my shirts for work today. So this morning I woke up early to make sure she got it. Turns out she slept in and I ended up staying up later then I expected. So now here I sit waiting for Jason to wake up and get ready for work. I honestly love how quiet our house is. I am not just talking about how quiet it is right now, because it is quiet most all of the time.

I seriously have been so tired lately. Hawaii totally wore me out. Being on a different schedule for just that time made both Jason and I really tired. Hawaii was so AWESOME!! I had a lot of firsts. First time on a plane, first time flying over the ocean, first time going out of Utah, going to the beach, swimming in the ocean, first time actually seeing a sea turtle. I can't think of anything else right now though. I have been seriously slow about getting all our pictures of the trip up on our blog.

Is it just the excitement of going on vacation that is making time go by sooo very slow? Maybe I am thinking about it to much. I am so excited to be going to Hawaii in the next week or so. Wait, let me refraise that... I am so excited to be going on "vacation" in the next week or so. I think I am more excited to just get away from our everyday life. I personally need a break.

Jason & I have never been on a vacation together. When I say vacation I mean for more then just a weekend. So it is going to be an awesome experience for the both of us.

Tomorrow I get my hair cut, so I will be posting before & after pictures. I am way excited that I am actually cutting my hair. I'm not just cutting it because we are going to Hawaii, but just cause I need to change my hair. It's just that time again. The last time I did anything drastic with my hair was before Jason & I got married.

The last couple of days I have been cleaning and making lists of things to either bring to Hawaii or lists for taking care of our kitties. They aren't too long though! I don't want to overdo it in anyway. I want things to be really simple. The only list I think I could come close to overdoing it is the kittie list. I have never left a pet to go on vacation before, because I have never really been on a vacation before, so Chantel be forwarned...hehe!

Anyways, I think I am done rambling for now. Time to go finish the laundry!!
